It’s been a while since I did one of these pieces. From time to time on this blog I like to post quotes from famous people and try to articulate an application into today’s reality.
The quote….
“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” Mark Twain
It’s a very interesting quote as many people can cite several “important” days in their lives. A marriage, a death of a loved one, birth of a child…. I don’t think Twain ignores those completely, his point here is finding out why you were born, or rather, what you are called to do is one of the most important days of your life.
Of course your birth is #1, without it you wouldn’t be here. However, finding out why you were born, what you purpose is, what you want to do. If you get there (some of us never do) your reaming days should be fulfilling and joyful. One of the issues we have now is there is SO MUCH to do. Write a blog, get a job, collect watches on and on and on and on.
It may take years for you to find what it is you love to do. When you do, if you do (and I hope you do) it will be one of the most important days of your life. Don’t stop searching for your one thing, you might be surprised what it is or where it could be found. Guy I went to high school with, a major partier/stoner now does sandcastle competitions. He loves it, it brings him joy and he didn’t discover it until he was nearly 30 years old!
